Equinoxe Yachts International is celebrating the first anniversary of its launch, just a little over 12 months ago, by a group of sector professionals with more than 30 years’ experience on the yachting market. The brokerage house has become an international reference point for the sales and purchases of luxury yachts. The EYI team met in January to go over the most important phases of a hugely successful 2019, discuss new projects and set exciting goals for 2020.

EYI embarked on its first year with the wind in its sails and ended it with seven yachts sold. In addition to this, some of the three motor and four sailing yachts in question also immediately joined the Equinoxe Yachts charter fleet. The craft were all built by leading international yards of the likes of Southern Wind, Jongert, Lagoon, Otam, Swan and Benetti, to name but a few. The average period they spent on the charter market was around four months.
2020 looks set to be following a similarly positive course with EYI announcing its first sale of the new year just a few days ago. Meya Meya, a 35m luxury yacht, was sold at Marmaris by Nicolas Valin, a sales broker in EYI’s Cote d’Azur office.

“We are satisfied with the results we achieved in this first year in business – confirmed Alex Mazzoni, EYI Senior Sales Broker– The commitment and dedication shown by every member of the team has really borne fruit. We set up EYI to bring together the skills we had acquired individually in over 30 years in the yachting business”.

The aim of the annual general meeting was to boost the synergies between the various partners still further, highlight our strengths and iron out any minor teething problems. As a result of our discussion and the long list of subjects on the agenda, EYI is now looking forward to a stimulating new year full of exciting new challenges.

“Thanks to the internet, it is now infinitely easier to find boats of all kinds all over the world – added Corrado Di Majo, President of Equinoxe Yachts International – The downside of this is that the number of craft on offer is so vast that the risk of making the wrong choice is higher too. So, today more than ever, it is essential to seek advice from reliable professionals and technicians, sector experts in other words. The most successful market segment right now is the large to very large one of yachts of 20m and over, while the smaller craft market is struggling. All the more reason to approach choosing large, expensive craft with both caution and professional assistance”.

One of the added values the Group offers its clients is the very diverse range of skills and backgrounds the team members bring to the table in addition to their shared and abiding passion for the sea. We are looking to the future with great determination, confident that even greater success lies ahead for EYI on the international yacht brokerage market.

EYI was founded by a group of the sector’s most internationally renowned and esteemed brokers. The luxury yacht sales company has five offices:  Turin, Nice, Geneva, Monaco and Prague.
